The State of Franklin Track Club celebrated its 40th year in existence on Saturday night at David Crockett with its annual awards banquet that included the induction of the first Hall of Fame class.

Track athletes from both Cherokee and Volunteer high schools who qualified for the state meet this year were honored Thursday by the Hawkins County Board of Education, as were TMSAA state track meet qualifiers from Church Hill Middle and Surgoinsville Middle.
